There are 10 Medigap plans, identified as a letter. The most common plans will be Parts F, G and N:

  • The F plan covers all of Part A and B
  • The G plan covers All of Part A and B you cover part B deductible one per year
  • The N plan covers All of Part A and B you cover part B deductible one per year plus a $20.00 copay & $50.00 copat for ER. plus all medicare excess charges.

Medicare Part D plans add prescription drug coverage to Original Medicare, some Medicare Cost Plans, some Medicare Private Fee-for-Service (PFFS) Plans, and Medicare Medical Savings Account (MSA) Plans.

Alternatives for Original Medicare

Medicare Advantage plans are offered by private insurance companies contracted through Medicare as alternatives for Original Medicare.

These plans combine all of the benefits of Medicare Part A (hospital) and Part B (medical), and may also include prescription drug coverage, dental or vision coverage all for an affordable and sometimes $0 monthly plan premium.

Special Needs Plans

Special Needs Plans for those with both Medicare (title XVIII) and medical assistance from the state.

Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (D-SNPs) enroll individuals who are entitled to both Medicare (title XVIII) and medical assistance from a state plan under Medicaid (title XIX). States cover some Medicare costs, depending on the state and the individual’s eligibility. - CMS.gov
